Fecal Parasite Exam
Checks stool for intestinal parasites and their eggs.
What it measures
- • Intestinal worm eggs (roundworm, hookworm, whipworm)
- • Protozoa such as Giardia (depending on method)
What results can show
- ✓ Catches common, sometimes zoonotic, parasites
- ✓ Recommended routinely, especially for puppies, kittens, and outdoor pets
Honest limitations
Parasites shed intermittently, so a single negative does not fully rule them out. Repeat testing may be advised if signs persist.
What we collect
Detected parasites (or a clear result) from the exam.
